"You were the way to the Truth when you said, All You Need Is Love." George Harrison on John Lennon
Love doesn't just forgive you of any wrong doing, it simply allows you the free space to do the right thing and forgive yourself. It is kind even when it doesn't have to be, because love believes in mercy. Love invites you to the party on purpose. Love doesn't call you names, but it knows how to pronounce your name without agonizing blame in its voice. Love believes you are capable of sacrifice without fanfare. Love realizes and recognizes your best self at all times.
The spell can be self doubt or paranoia or anxious feelings or even feelings of sad regret. All these can cause enormous pain and grow larger than necessary, if we let them. The spell can be the result of mistakes or insensitivities or rushed to actions and reactions. The spell can be directed our way by the fear of others or from others. The spell is almost always made of fears like envy or jealousy or misunderstandings or feeling sorry for ourselves, of wanting to cause pain and discomfort, of angry words. The spell is poison, pure and simple. It’s meant to hurt, to imbalance, to trip and cause to fall.
Love does not see the spell as being all wrong just because it’s not nice, but as a seeping wound that needs a strong healing touch from a gentle friend. Love is willing to be that cleansing friend. To be called upon to perform its own brand of magic, to counteract the bad or evil spell. To be called forth from practically nothing and from nowhere; if you are sincere, love can actually happen and balance things out for you again. It is a powerful miracle that relies solely on your real intent to fully manifest itself in your presence. Love first needs you to let go of hate and remorse and revenge.
Love makes everything taste better. Try it, you’ll like it. It gives a much needed boost to everyday activity under the sun and moon. It lets everything you do, no matter how common or routine, be an act of total awareness. Love grows you and I into healthy human beings, inspired, awake, engaged with our lives, as creative shepherds of the always new world.
